,
I've had quite a pleasant week scavenging and to top it off I've had a really lovely day visiting Government House in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. It opens to the public just one day a year.
I have also been doing some reading during the week trying to get my head around Bokeh, but it seems I have Bokeh in my brain ( a bit fuzzy ). I was experimenting with shots in the beautiful gardens surrounding Government House, but I didn't have much luck ( I seemed to bleach the main subject) . Oh well more practice for me.
Thankyou for all the lovely feedback on last weeks' photos, I would love to reply to some of you, I am still working out the best way to do so, as I realised if I comment on your comment, you don't really recieve it. ( is that correct? I'm only 3 weeks new to this blog business and won't mind at all if someone puts me straight)
Hope you all had a lovely week yourselves and thankyou for popping on by.
This weeks Scavenger Hunt items were,
Strike a Pose, Footwear, Hobby, Shiny, and Colour Me Green
Strike A Pose
I met this little girl in the line to enter Government House today,
and she obliged me and striked a pose, I thought her dress matched the flowers in the bed behind her. ( what a little sweetie!)
Footwear
My absolute favourite pair
Hobby
One of my many hobbys is collecting china, prodominently from the 70's.
My favourite pattern is Acapulco, by Villeroy and Boch.
I like to use pieces from my collection regulary, as I'd hate for them to just collect dust.
I think this one is like Summer in a cup!
Shiny
One of the Waterford Crystal Chandaliers in Government House today
Colour Me Green
This shot is from my archives, I love the distressed look of the fence posts
with the velvety green moss.
Thankyou for popping by, love to hear your comments
I really like the colors in your footwear picture!!
ReplyDeleteThankyou Stephanie, I loved coloured shoes and I'm quite fond of rag rugs as well, I'm considering making my own.

Loving YOUR footwear, too..Birks are awesome, and doubly so seen on that gorgeous rug :) Love your Hobby...I think you'd have fun hunting through vintage shops here in Finland; we've got some fabulous 70ies patterns, too!
ReplyDeleteHello Tezzie, Firstly all the best for your job next week. I love thrifting, and I'm considering bloging about my finds. I am very fond of Northern European 70'cs china, I especially like Norwegian Turi Design. Yum ! Thankyou for your lovely comments
ReplyDeleteGreat selection. The pose is simply wonderful: a great future for your young model.I so agree with a passion for Villeroy Boche, Just had my coffee in their christmas mug [can't let it go back in the cupboard just yet :-)]
ReplyDeleteHow do you feel about Rosenthal? Just this morning I contemplated when washing up the dainty pieces and I reckon the few I have are my all time favourites. These things are daily beauty in our hands. I will have to write a note on it.
